He holds a Masters degree in Sport Science from Sheffield Hallam University and is an accredited strength and conditioning coach with the UKSCA.
Adam Wylie is a sports scientist currently working at Athletes Authority. His passion for performance comes through the use and implementation of data and analysis to help drive positive changes in an athlete’s sport or rehabilitation.
Alex holds a BSc in Kinesiology from the University of Ottawa (Canada). He is now completing an MSc in Diabetes Medicine (He is type 1 myself) at the University of Dundee (Scotland). He has also interned within S&C facilities and most recently worked as a kinesiologist within a physiotherapy clinic.
Alex is currently studying for a Master of Science degree in Physiotherapy and working as a sports massage therapist. He is researching the effect of attentional focus on athletic performance and also has a MSc in Chemistry (1st Class Honours).
Andrew has a degree in Sport & Exercise Science and a Master’s in Strength and Conditioning from Leeds Beckett University. He is the Director of Aesthetic Athletes where he works with elite soccer players and the general population. Andrew has also worked as a Strength & Conditioning Coach in the NHS, rehabilitating ACL ruptures, and is the Content Manager at Science for Sport, having previously worked as an Intern Strength and Conditioning Coach with Leeds United F.C. Ladies Academy.
Arian currently works as the First Team Sport Scientist and Data Analyst for Wolverhampton Wanderers Football Club. Previous roles include Performance Analysis Intern at Nottingham Forest FC, Sport Science Data Analysis for USA Hockey team and Loughborough Hockey. Before working with the First Team at Wolves, Arian was Sport Science and Data Analyst for the U18’s. He is also the owner of Data In Sport.
Having completed a BSc in Applied Sport Science and a MSc in Athletic Development and Peak Performance at Southampton Solent University, Becky now works at Southampton Girls’ RTC as Lead Data Scientist.
Boden Westover is VP, Marketing & Design at a fast-growth hospitality tech startup, Mr Yum. Boden was previously Chief Marketing Officer at Vivi, an EdTech SaaS business helping educators better engage students, following a VP, Brand & Communications role at Catapult (ASX:CAT) where he oversaw global marketing for 8.5 years, going from less than $1m ARR to over $100m while the company helped transform the intersection between sport, technology, and data. Before that, Boden was Head of Sport at Pagemasters, an AAP subsidiary, and played professional basketball for the Melbourne Tigers (now United) in Australia’s National Basketball League.
Brett is a strength and conditioning coach, author, consultant, and founder of the performance coaching and consulting company, Bartholomew Strength. His experience includes working with collegiate teams, professional teams, businesses, and individual clients. Taken together, Brett has coached a diverse range of athletes from across 23 sports at levels ranging from youths to Olympians. He’s supported Super Bowl and World Series Champions, along with several professional fighters, including those competing in the UFC. He has also worked with members of the United States Special Forces community. His coaching and speaking has spanned the globe, from China to Brazil and numerous other stops in between. Brittany is a Scientific Affairs Manager at GNC (General Nutrition Centers), reviewing scientific evidence supporting sport nutrition supplements. As a certified specialist in sports dietetics, Johnson’s primary focus is understanding how to best fuel athletes for optimising health and enhancing performance.
Carl is currently the lead sport technologist for SpikesOnly.com, and
focuses his time on testing elite athletes and using technology to
maximise human performance. Carl has coached Track and Field at
every level, and also has significant expertise in performance data,
including the practical application of equipment and software.

Carla is from Kelowna, BC, and now lives in Calgary as an Exercise Physiologist and performance specialist. She is lucky to work with a handful of Olympians, the Dinos Women’s Hockey Team, and many other clients on a spectrum of performance to pain. This gives her a unique insight into the integrative approach it takes to push boundaries far past the norm. Carla Robbins created her own business called Vital Strength and Physiology between completing her Bachelor’s and Master’s of Kinesiology from the University of Calgary. Vital Strength and Physiology has a foundation built on complex cases, where they attempt to create a clear path for each individual.
Charlie has an MSc in Sport and Exercise Nutrition from Loughborough University. He has previously supported athletes in a variety of sports including canoeing, boxing, cricket, rugby league, Olympic weightlifting and strongwoman.
Chris Barnard is the founder and head S&C coach at Overtime Athletes. He is an S&C coach at Strength Camp, an athlete training facility in St. Petersburg, Florida, as well as author of multiple performance programs. He has worked with athletes at all levels and from many different sports to produce the highest level of performance in each.
Chris is the Director of Sport Science at PUSH, a Canadian-based sport and weight room technology company. He is also a strength and conditioning coach with Freestyle Ski Canada and Paddle Monster, working with extreme and endurance sport athletes.
Cody has been a strength and conditioning coach within NCAA Division I sports since 2008. He currently works in Olympic sports at the University of Iowa. He holds a Masters degree in Exercise Science from the University of Kansas (‘10). A former collegiate discus and hammer thrower (University of Kansas ‘07), Cody has also served as an adjunct professor within the Health & Human Physiology department at Iowa, as well a written over 200 research reviews for the Performance Digest since joining the Science for Sport team in 2019.
Cody is a Certified Strength and Conditioning Specialist (CSCS) through the National Strength and Conditioning Association, a Strength & Conditioning Coach Certified (SCCC) through the Collegiate Strength and Conditioning Coaches Association, and a USAW Certified Sport Performance Coach from USA Weightlifting.
The entire psychophysiological process of coaching and athletic development is what drives Cody to learn and engage others daily to best serve and develop the athletes he works with. In his role, he has numerous resources at his disposal (e.g. GPS, force plates, tensiomyography, and other testing/monitoring tools). His experience and application of these tools, implementing consistent and sustainable monitoring strategies, make him an excellent resource for all things technology and monitoring. Aiming to maximize the quest for optimal performance through a holistic and scientific approach.
Devin currently works in the private sector in Dallas, TX where he trains mainly professional basketball athletes. He graduated from the University of Oklahoma with a B.B.A and is currently in pursuit of his M.Sc. from the University of Texas at Tyler. Devin has worked with a variety of athletes for a number of colleges and universities including Tennessee State University, the University of North Texas, and Texas A&M University. Devin holds certifications as a CSCS and USA Weightlifting Level 1 coach.
Francisco is the Performance Coordinator for Sporting Lisbon and has previously worked as a S&C coach in elite rugby with the Chiefs Super Rugby franchise and the PRO14 team Glasgow Warriors. He holds a PhD from Waikato University and is a published author.
Harjiv Singh is a graduate of Columbia University’s program in motor learning and control. He is a former professional volleyball player and is currently a Ph.D. student at the University of Nevada in Las Vegas (UNLV) studying motor learning and control. He is a coffee enthusiast and enjoys reading, writing, and hiking.
Ph.D. student at Cardiff Metropolitan University in Wales, UK. His research will surround growth & maturation, force-velocity profiling, and injury screening tools in youth athletes. Holds a MSc, CSCS, and Eleiko Strength Coach-1 qualification.
Dr. James Morehen is the Lead Performance Nutritionist for England Rugby and previously also worked as the Performance Nutritionist for Bristol Bears Rugby Union. He is a SENr registered performance nutritionist and works privately with both elite athletes and individuals through his business Morehen Performance Ltd.
Jérôme graduated in 2011 from the University of North Carolina at Greensboro (USA) with a PhD in Kinesiology and a minor in Statistics, after a BSc (Hons) and an MSc (Res) at the University of Gloucesterhire (UK). He is currently acting as a Movement and performance coach for successful entrepreneurs in the region of Montpellier as well as a lecturer in Statistics and performance in several MSc programs. Avid movement-based fitness practitioner and coach, his focus is to improve function by better understanding individual specificities in performance and training responses.
Jordan is a Physical Therapist and Strength Coach who currently practices in a Sports & Orthopedic clinic in Bergen County, New Jersey. He is passionate about educating athletes on ways to optimize performance while decreasing the risk of injury.
Stephanie is a Physical Therapist who graduated from Ithaca College and is working at Boston PT & Wellness. She is passionate about strength & conditioning and how it plays into rehab, and is also a member of the Strength Faction program.
Tom is an assistant professor in applied sports sciences and has worked with elite sports for over 10 years. Previous roles include working as a sports scientist at Liverpool F.C., where he completed his Ph.D., and working across a number of other sports. He is passionate about physiology, coach communication, and high-performance strategy and systems.
Tom graduated with a BSc in 2011 before undertaking an MSc at Loughborough University. He has published 25 academic papers on strength and conditioning, nutrition, and youth development in Sports Medicine, the Journal of Strength & Conditioning Research, and others. Tom also now supervises a number of his own Ph.D. students around the world embedded within sporting organisations.
Will is a Lecturer of Sport Coaching at Deakin University, Australia. Prior to this he has worked with Cricket NSW and Cricket Australia in an array of roles ranging from a sport scientist, development coach and a strength and conditioning coach. He completed his PhD at the University of Newcastle, Australia within the area of practice design.
Drew has an MSc in Strength and Conditioning from the University of Edinburgh. He is currently working as the Director of Human Performance for an elite squadron of US Air Force special operations personnel. In addition to government work, Drew is the founder of Guardian Training Group, an online platform for tactical human performance.
Originally from the UK, Ed received his Bachelor’s degree in Science & Football from Liverpool John Moores in 2008. After graduating, he moved to New York and, after finishing playing collegiate soccer, graduated from Hofstra University in 2012 with a Master’s in Strength and Conditioning, with a focus on post-activation potentiation in student-athletes. Ed also completed the NSCA CSCS certification in 2013.
Whilst at Hofstra, Ed co-authored 2 research papers under Dr Adam Gonzalez, Dr Jamie Ghigiarelli and Dr Katie Sell as well as assisting with both research and coaching assignments from the strength and conditioning department at the NCAA Division 1 school, including basketball, lacrosse, softball, soccer and cross country.
Growing up playing football first in the UK and later in the US, Ed has coached high school, collegiate, semi-professional, professional, and international players. A former goalkeeper, his focus typically revolves around not only the technical aspect of playing but how to prepare and develop athletes over the long term and educate the players and their families on these approaches.

Eric is a Strength and Conditioning Coach from Ireland. Eric holds a MSc in Sports Strength and Conditioning and an undergraduate degree in Sport and Exercise. Eric is also a Certified Strength and Conditioning Specialist (CSCS) with the NSCA. Eric currently works as a Strength and Conditioning Coach in Ireland predominantly with youth performance Tennis players. Eric also has experience working with athletes from basketball, martial arts, football, hurling, and Gaelic football.

His previous roles include Academy Sport Scientist at Derby County Football Club, Leicester City
Football Club and Wolverhampton Wanderers Football Club. In addition to a Master’s of Research
degree in Sport & Exercise Science from the University of Derby, Jake is also a UKSCA Accredited
Strength & Conditioning Coach.
James was the Head Strength & Conditioning Coach for the Romanian Rugby Union. He has previously worked in America’s professional rugby competition Major League Rugby with Austin Elite and the NZ Women’s National Rugby League Team. He is a published author and has completed a MSc in Sport & Exercise Science from AUT, Auckland, NZ.
Jarred has an MSc in Exercise Science from the University of Cape Town, and is currently the Head of Sport Science at Kaizer Chiefs Football Club. Jarred has experience with both men’s and women’s international football teams and has a keen interest in football conditioning and rehabilitation, as well as esport performance.
Jesper is the former Head of Sport Science in Västerås SK (2nd league in Swedish Football) and Lecturer in Sport Science at Örebro University. He has many years of experience working as a Strength & Conditioning Coach, Sport Scientist, and Physiotherapist in Swedish elite football (club and national teams). Jesper also holds a Postgraduate Diploma in Sport Science, a Postgraduate Certificate in Strength & Conditioning, and a Bachelor’s degree in Physiotherapy.
Jess currently works as an Exercise Physiologist for the University of Worcester working directly with the Hereford and Worcester Fire Stations to conduct annual fitness testing. Prior to this Jess recently completed an MSc in Strength, Conditioning, and Performance and has worked in various roles within women’s football and Neurological Walking Football. She has previously played and coached at the collegiate level in the USA and now works within the volunteer S&C team at Worcester City Women F.C providing data analyst and program support.
Jon Bell MRes, BSc*, PGCE, PCert, FHEA, MSST is a Therapeutic and Rehabilitation sciences lecturer at Leeds Beckett University’s School of Health. He is also head of Sports medicine and performance for the GB wrestling team and has previously worked at Teesside and Moulton University. He has worked with fighters in the UFC, Bellator, Cage Warrior and ADCC Submission Fighting World Championship. Outside of combat sports, Jon has worked with Olympic and Commonwealth gold medal athletes and in top-flight football and rugby in the UK and Europe. Jon was previously in the Military, where he acted as a team medic in conflict zones such as Afghanistan. This has led to a decade of working with veteran amputees, mainly through the charity British Limbless Ex-Servicemen’s Association (BLESMA).
Jon’s current research and interests focus on British wrestling and combat sports. This aligns with his external work as Head of Sports Medicine and Performance for the British Wrestling Association and the medical work he provides for The Bare-Knuckle Boxing Fighting Championship (BKFC), The British Fighting Championship and other MMA and boxing promotions.
As well as his rehabilitation work for BLESMA, Jon runs Northern Grappling Company, a project set up to raise money for a Disabled Youth charity in York (Choose2youth) by running grappling events across the region of Yorkshire.
Josh is a Strength & Conditioning Coach with over 10 years industry experience. He has worked across multiple sports and nations and is previously worked as an EXOS Performance Manager on a tactical project. His particular areas of interest is coach development for the next generation of S&C coaches.
Julian has been involved in high-performance strength and conditioning for the past decade for elite, national and amateur level athletes. This journey has given him extensive skills and experience in the field of sports performance conditioning and research development. Julian has also completed his master’s degree in strength and conditioning research, investigating the effects of post-activation potentiation (PAP) on maximal sprint performance of Singapore’s national track and field athletes. His post-graduate studies had enabled him to gain knowledge in the area of strength/power performance monitoring (e.g. force plate and linear transducer system integrations.) This has translated into scientific publications in peer-reviewed journals investigating the efficacy of PAP protocols in enhancing athletic performance.
Kris Robertson is a Strength Coach with Rugby Canada. Kris is responsible for the physical development of the Women’s National 15’s, and the Development Academy in Ontario. Previously a Strength Coach of the Toronto Argonauts of the CFL. Kris is a CSCS (NSCA) and is in the progress of completing his Masters.
Lukas is a second-year master student in Exercise Physiology (M.Sc.) at the Norwegian University of Science and Technology (NTNU) in Trondheim, Norway. He holds a B.Sc. Physiotherapy from Germany with a specialisation in sports medicine.
Mario has a Master’s degree in sports science from the University of Gothenburg, as well as a Bachelor’s in sport science and in PE and health. Formerly a semi-professional football player, he is currently working as a youth football coach for the Gothenburg football federation and holds a UEFA B license.
Matthew is a Physical Therapist and Clinic Manager at an Outpatient Orthopedic Physical Therapy clinic in Chicago, Illinois. He has worked with varied sport and orthopedic populations and has served as a Physical Therapist with the Professional Squash Association and USA Track and Field. He has recently become Board Certified as an Orthopedic Clinical Specialist (OCS) as well as certified in Dry Needling and Blood Flow Restriction Training. He has a passion for treating orthopedic and athletic injuries with a specialisation in the treatment of lower body injuries and runners.
Matt is a strength and conditioning coach at Team NL (Dutch Olympic Team). He was also the Lead Academy Sports Scientist/Strength and Conditioning coach at Al Shabab Al Arabi FC. For Science for Sport, Matt works as the group manager for the Coaches Club and is the host of the Science for Sport Podcast.
Matt’s speciality is speed development and he has a fascination for sport science – it’s his daily challenge to integrate the art of coaching with the science of data for his athletes of all ages and sports. His other experiences include being a sport scientist at the Division I level, publishing his thesis in the Journal of Strength and Conditioning Research, and creating educational content for coaches and athletes.
Matthew serves as Co-Owner, Director of Strength & Conditioning, and Internship Coordinator at TD Athletes Edge in Boston, MA. He is also an Adjunct Professor at Maryville University and Endicott College, in addition to being a Ph.D. student at Rocky Mountain University.
Mona is a Commonwealth Games medalist in the sport of Olympic Weightlifting, CrossFit Games competitor, and 6x Karate World Champion. Her love of competing and sport led her to gaining her Honours Degree in Sport Psychology. Her combined experience as an elite athlete and mental skills coach has sparked her drive to coach athletes and help them reach their goals. Mona is the owner of Helping Psychology and Lift Big Eat Big Weightlifting, and she strives to help athletes reach their full potential mentally and physically.
Nathan Heaney is currently the Head of Athlete Performance and Development at Xavier College, Melbourne. He has acquired experience across the Victorian Institute of Sport, Victorian Football League, AFL Victoria and at the Adelaide Crows. Nathan’s primary areas of interest are running conditioning periodisation and application, objectively guided interval training and the athletic development of high performance and aspirational athletes.
Nathan Kiely is an ASCA recognized strength and conditioning coach, ESSA-accredited sports scientist and holds a BSc (Hons) in Sport & Exercise Science from the University of Technology Sydney. Coach Nathan has a passion for developing speed, power, strength and endurance in the wide array of athletes he’s worked with since 2016 when his coaching career started.
Niall Seewang is a former sports journalist and editor who has helped launch two of Australia’s leading online sports platforms – AFL Media in 2011 and ESPN Australia in 2016.
He also has a Bachelor of Applied Science (Human Movement) from Deakin University in Australia and has a Postgraduate diploma in Journalism from La Trobe University, also in Australia. On top of all this, Niall has a long-standing curiosity about how athletes and teams get the best out of themselves.
Owen is the Founder of Science for Sport and has a Master’s degree in Strength & Conditioning and a Bachelor’s degree in Sports Conditioning & Rehabilitation from Cardiff Metropolitan University. Before founding Science for Sport, he was the Head of Academy Sports Science at Cardiff City Football Club, and an interim Sports Scientist for the Welsh Football Association.
He’s published research on the ‘Practical Applications of Water Immersion Recovery Modalities for Team Sports’ in the Strength & Conditioning Journal by the NSCA (National Strength & Conditioning Association). He has also been featured in the Sports Business Journal and The Roar, Australia’s leading sports opinion website.
Parker Teagle has been a Strength and Conditioning Coach for nearly a decade. Parker received a Master’s Degree in Sport Psychology, as well as a Bachelor’s Degree in Kinesiology, both from the University of Utah. Parker worked as an Assistant Strength and Conditioning Coach for the university before moving to his new role as the Director of Human Performance for CAMP – Building Better Athletes. Parker also works as a consultant for the data analytics company, CoachLOGIC.
Ryan is a PhD candidate at Leeds Beckett University and holds an MSc in Sports Science and a BSc (Hons) in Sport Science & High Performance from Stellenbosch University. He currently works in professional soccer at Ajax Cape Town as a S&C coach and sports scientist for the academy teams.
Sam is an experienced S&C Coach with a demonstrated history of working in the sports industry specialising in Training Programme Design, Coaching, Fitness Training, and Football. He has a Master’s degree focused in S&C from St Mary’s University, is the creator of Speed Gate Golf and runs a successful Coach Mentorship Program.
Scott is the director of FastFitStrong Training Systems. He was formerly a Strength & Conditioning coach with British Cycling, Stoke City, Worcester Warriors, Doncaster Knights, and Sale Sharks. He also has a master’s degree in strength and conditioning and is a UKSCA certified strength and conditioning coach.
Selwyn Griffith has been an integral part of the Brisbane Lions High-Performance Department for eight years. He holds Masters degrees in Osteopathy and High-Performance Sport. His current role involves the development and implementation of strength and power programs for the AFL squad.

William is a recent graduate from Deakin University with a Bachelor of Exercise and Sport Science. He has just completed a year-long internship with The Geelong Football Club (an elite AFL club) in 2017 where he was exposed to GPS and HR analytics as well as other aspects of high performance. In 2018 he will be completing his Honours project titled “Adaptations to environmental training interventions in AFL players”.
